With the evolution of Partnering Contracts, particularly the PPC and NEC versions, the interesting and challenging role of Client Representative has emerged.
We have been involved extensively with Partnering Contracts from an early stage and, indeed, our first full new build Partnering Contract was undertaken in 1999 – before the publication of PPC 2000.
Many of the professional skills needed are reflected in the more commonly recognised Employer’s Agent and Project Management activities. However, the need for a more “collaborative” partnering approach to many issues is a key skill which we believe our management technique allows to be delivered in a way which does not compromise, and often surpasses, the client’s end objectives.
