The scheme consists of the construction of 29no. new affordable units set over 4 blocks of flats on a former factory site. The units were a mix of one and two bedroom flats, all being affordable rent for Dacorum Borough Council who appointed us as Employers Agent and Quantity Surveyor.

The brownfield site had many previous uses but predominately factory use which created several challenges in the ground with many structures and floor slabs found whilst undertaking the groundworks. The site is also bounded by the Grand Union Canal at the lower end of the site and the main London Road into Hemel Hempstead at the top of the site. The design of the scheme had to take into account the sloping site and inspiration form the former buildings and surrounding area.
